Crossroads

there was a fork in the road and i chose the wrong path.
Do i try to retrace my steps and like a science experiment try to put all the right materials in all the quantities for success?
Will the wrong path turn right on its own?
What if I had two wrong paths?
I'm completely directionless, not even lost, because I know where I am, just not where I'm going. Am I floating?
Maybe its not a 2d space, but a horizontal space that runs from infinity x to infinity y. Then there are no turns or paths or right or wrong, just life?
