I'm moving. Not house, not neighbourhoods, not cities. Countries. 5979 miles (9623 km) (5196 nautical miles). This really shouldn't be significant, considering I've moved a greater distance from Zimbabwe to Boston in 2007... 7788 miles (12533 km). But still, I'm holding on my useless mileage statistics as if they add weight or seriousness to my move. They don't. Infact, collectively, if we add up the mileage of the last couple of years... i.e.
2006 November Zim - London
2007 January London - Boston
2007 March Boston - Florida
2007 April Florida - Boston
2007 May Boston - London
2007 August London - Boston
2007 December Boston - Florida
2008 January Florida - Boston
2008 August Boston - London
(... which I'm not actually going to calculate for several reasons a) laziness b) it would be stupid c) it would be a redundant activity d) it would be proof of my overwhelming temptation to indulge in procrastination e) all of the above...)that figure would be considerably more than the mileage I am about to undertake. But somehow... this move
2009 August London - Joburg....
carries so many more miles... so much more weight. So much more fear.
I am jobless, but still with all the drive and ambition to want to make this work out.
I am jaded by all the rejection letters I have collected in London that have severely injured my confidence
I am jovial nonetheless, to reconnect with old friends who love and support me, and I them...
and hence, I take a big risk with the big J, needing the strength of Jehoviah, to carry me to my Jerusalem.
Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind."
Thank you.
