breathe slow

What I've finally started to realise is that women have no room in this world to react... not to world of freaky perverts at work, not to the world of terribly insecure-therefore-mean women constantly trying to undermine other women, not to the unbelievable betrayal by your best friend, not to the silly pressure of dysfunctional family life and certainly, most importantly, not to the men who go out of their way to make women feel unworthy...

Reactions are - yelling, screaming, acting out, saying how you FEEL, are always always always going to be met with "she's a psycho/slut/wench/b***h/insane/mad/jealous/some other insulting, derogitory term... it's not worth losing dignity, suggesting to the world that you have no class.

Instead, as Miss Dixon suggests... breathe slow, count from one to ten, eyes closed...

Ladies never lose composure.

It's probably the hardest lesson I'll ever have to put into practice.
