How do you take your coffee?

I had given up on desperate housewives, just feeling like it had reached it's peak. And it probably has... It really was an ingenious show, a progressive forum for all women to see that no one is coping, that no one, no matter how put together they are, no one has all the answers and the world is not so black and white.

In this episode - Susan and Jackson, after a wee little fall out, decided that they weren't going to have sex until they "know" each other. Susan insists on these dates where she narrates the story of her life, every little high school heartbreak or headache... and then she occasionally tests Jackson on all the information...

And it's not that Jackson's not listening, he just doesn't feel it's particularly important to remember every little detail of her childhood. He paints a picture of Susan, with "that look" on her face and from this Susan realises that why he might not know her history, he certainly knows her soul.

As a individual with at least 5 best friends who I haven't seen more than 5 times each in the last 3 years, and with an on-off non-boyfriend, also in a far-away land, I've been feeling like I don't know them. I don't know how they take their coffee, if they sing in the shower, where their birthmarks are - if they even have birthmarks. I don't know who they fought with in the 8th grade. What I do know is their hearts, corny as it sounds... it does give me a little peace of mind, I don't have to know all the answers, and if i just enjoy learning more, I'm a guess I'm a little more or a little less like a desperate housewife.
