I know why the caged bird sings

I love this quote because I think about many of my own childhood experiences, be it thinking the air vents in the walls were filled with monitoring cameras to watch if i behaved badly or knowing that Santa always came down the chimney or thinking that if I needed to pee while I was out, I'd have to go to home to do it... That was my logic, and it needed no explanations.
